Aries Ships UF / RO for Wastewater Recycling


Aries Chemical’s Equipment Group designed, manufactured and shipped a wastewater recycle system to a Major Mexican Appliance manufacturer. The Mexican facility desired to eliminate process wastewater discharge and become a zero discharge facility. Aries recommended an Ultrafiltration (UF) / Reverse Osmosis (RO) system with an evaporator to eliminate wastewater discharge. The project was implemented in two phases. The first phase was installation of the UF / RO system which reduced wastewater discharge 90%. The first stage UF removes solids, organics and metals from the process wastewater producing an effluent well suited for RO filtration. The RO polishes the UF effluent producing high quality water suitable for reuse throughout the facility. The Aries UF / RO system is designed to treat 40 gpm constantly. The UF /RO systems have parallel processing trains, to allow continuous operation even when a train is being cleaned.
