(NLL) - The Minnesota Swarm today agreed to terms with firstoverall pick Logan Schuss on a two-year contract on Monday.

Schuss started and played in every game during his four-year career at Ohio State and finished as the schools all-time leader in points (237) and goals (146). In his senior season as a co-captain this past spring, the 22-year-old notched a career-high 44 goals along with 28 assists and helped the Buckeyes reach the 2013 NCAA Quarterfinals. "Getting Logan signed is key to our success," Swarm associate general manager and head coach Joe Sullivan said. But more importantly, hes going to shore up what we needed on the left-side with some toughness and an ability to play an inside-outside game." Schuss racked up national recognition on top of his school records, including two ECAC Player of the Year awards in 2012 and 2013, and was a three-time USILA All-American selection. The Ladner, British Columbia native was also selected as one of the top 25 nominees for the prestigious Tewaaraton Trophy in 2013. Off the field, Schuss excelled in the classroom and was a three-time Ohio State Scholar-Athlete, two-time Academic All-Big Ten choice, and a 2013 Senior CLASS Award finalist.
