PARIS -- Edinson Cavani scored twice to help Paris Saint-Germain to a dominant 4-0 victory at home to Lorient on Friday as the Uruguayan moved to the top of the French league scoring charts.

Moments earlier Lorient had had its best chance of the match when PSG goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu pulled off a stunning save to keep out Kevin Monnet-Paquets header. Cavani doubled his tally nine minutes from time. Reynet did well to parry Adrien Rabiots header but Cavani was on hand to tap in the rebound for his ninth goal of the season. PSG moved provisionally three points clear of Monaco, which visits Lille on Sunday.
