Reports: Giants to work out QB Matt McGloin

McGloin spent the next four years in Oakland, before signing a one-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles. in 2017. He was released by the Eagles in September, signed with the Houston Texans later that season after Deshaun Watson’s injury. He signed with the Chiefs in March of this year, and was with them through training camp and the pre-season before being released this weekend.Rapoport is also reporting that the Giants have a workout scheduled with former first-round wide receiver Breshad Perriman. Perriman was originally drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the first round of the 2015 NFL draft out of Central Florida. The 6-foot-2 Perriman has incredible athleticism, reportedly running a 4.24 40-yard dash to go with a 36 1鈦? inch vertical leap and 10-foot, 7-inch broad jump. However, he suffered a knee injury his rookie year and has struggled with route running and catching the ball since returning from injury. Obviously, he will not work out for the Giants if he first signs with the New York Jets.The Giants are also reportedly working out defensive lineman Daeshon Hall, formerly of the Carolina Panthers, and WR/KR JoJo Natsun Ray-Ray Armstrong Jersey , formerly of the Jets. Hall was drafted by Dave Gettleman in the third round of the 2017 draft out of Texas A&M. He has a prototypical build for a defensive lineman with long arms and the frame to carry his weight well. He played outside linebacker, 4-3 defensive end, and the 5-technique in college. Hall missed all but one game last season after suffering a knee injury.JoJo Natson was originally signed by the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent in 2017. He was waived in final cuts and was signed by the Jets soon after. As a returner, Natson had 38 yards on 16 punt returns (2.4 yards per return) and 325 yards on 16 kick returns (20.3 yards per return).Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News is reporting the Giants will host a third potential returner, Quadree Henderson. Henderson was an undrafted free agent out of Pitt, and was regarded as one of the top return specialists in the country coming out of college. He doesn’t have blazing speed, running a 4.5 40-yard dash at the combine, but has remarkable short-area quickness and plays without hesitation as a returner. In college, Henderson averaged 26.6 yards per return (3 touchdowns) on kick-offs, with averages of 28.0 and 30.5 yards per return as a freshman and sophomore. As a punt returner as a sophomore and junior, he averaged 13.4 yards per return (15.8 and 11.6 yards per return, respectively), with another 3 touchdowns. The New York Giants appear to be getting a bit healthier as they prepare for Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers. Per media members at practice, several injured players participated in Thursday’s practice in some fashion.Connor Barwin (knee), Eli Apple (groin) Janoris Jenkins Jersey , Damon Harrison (knee), Sterling Shepard (back), Cody Latimer (knee), Olivier Vernon (ankle), Evan Engram (knee) and Antonio Hamilton (groin) all took part in practice.
